WATERVILLE — Colby College students and Home Depot volunteers recently created pastoral scenes on the hallway doors to the Memory Lane neighborhood at Mount St. Joseph. The new murals don’t just look good, they serve a purpose, too. Nature scenes bring beauty to an everyday setting, and studies show they can help calm residents suffering with dementia and reduce the risk of residents leaving their care area. (Submitted photo)
