WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library, 73 Elm St., will kick off its “Summer Reading Program with Ms. Jenn” Saturday, June 17, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Colby Program Room with “Save the BEES!”
Bringing her high-energy musical storytime to the library, Ms. Jenn will have kids and adults moving and dancing; this program is for all ages. This special program will feature a bee telling her life story, while participants “fly, crawl, dance, pretend and move.” There will be a craft activity and a tasting of real honey.
The next program,” Bedtime Stories with Ms. Jenn,” will feature the theme “Build a Garden, Build a Community,” Friday, July 14, from 6 to 7 p.m. The answers to questions such as “How can growing food also grow your community?” will be explored. The young protagonist in the book, “Zora’s Zucchini,” learns about growing zucchini and sharing the abundant harvest by organizing a neighborhood food swap.
