Talking about local history is focus of new program

SKOWHEGAN — Skowhegan History House Museum & Research Center, 66 Elm St., is hosting a new program series titled “Let’s Talk Local History.”

Area residents are invited to share interesting stories, experiences and artifacts with museum staff in small, informal discussions. The roundtable talks are designed to be both educational and entertaining.
The purpose of the program is to enrich understanding of the area’s history via discussions about life in earlier times and engaging older citizens in the process.

Please join museum staff from 2 to 4 p.m. at Skowhegan History House Museum & Research Center Thursdays, June 8, July 6, Aug. 24 and Sept. 21; the program is free.
