Somerset County 4-H Luck of the Draw event is May 6

SKOWHEGAN — The Somerset County 4-H Leaders’ Association is hosting a Luck of the Draw benefit on Saturday, May 6 at the American Legion, U.S. Route 201. Raffle tickets will be on sale from 9 a.m. to noon, when the raffles start.

Prizes include a wide range of passes or gift cards, including for Moxie Outdoor Adventure, Kellmet Cafe, Flagship Cinemas, North Star Orchards, Wal-Mart, Johnny’s Seeds, Lyman’s Farm Store, The Bankery, and more.

Support for 4-H helps further the leadership skills developed and demonstrated by many youths participating in the program, organizers said, including Engineering Day, the 4-H at UMaine conference, a summer day camp, county educational activities and county scholarships to youth who attend college.
