TURNER – Turner Publishing, Inc. has just received its second batch of more than 60 green light bulbs from John Pape, of JAPELCO. Pape has donated these green light bulbs as part of the national Greenlight A Vet program. Where and how can you can a free green light bulb? Turner Publishing is a pick-up location for the free green light bulbs during normal business hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Where do you use the green light bulb? Ideally, the light bulb is used outside your home such as a porch light or lamp post where all passersby can see. Turner Publishing has a green light outside its front door.
What is Greenlight a Vet? According to its campaign materials, “Greenlight A Vet is a campaign to establish visible national support for American veterans. When veterans return home from service, the invisibility they face as they transition to civilian life can make them feel more camouflaged than ever.
“The Greenlight A Vet campaign gives Americans an avenue to express the support that our veterans deserve. People can participate through simple gestures like changing one light to green or sharing support on social media. As a nation, we strive to keep the green lights glowing as a continued sign of our respect for our veterans.”
