WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library will host “Come Read with the Reader Dogs” April 26 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Colby Program Room.
Therapy dog friends from “Kennebec Valley Love on a Leash” will be there for read-aloud time. This is an opportunity for children, who want to practice their reading skills, and for families desiring a fun, calming, read-aloud occasion. Participants will spend about 15 minutes with a dog who loves to listen. Bring your own favorite book, or borrow one from the library’s shelves.
Usually planned for the fourth Wednesday of the month, the next “Reader Dog” event is slated for May 24. Reservations are strongly encouraged as spaces are limited. One may call 680-2604 or stop by the Children’s Desk at the library to schedule a time to attend.
