GOOD DEED SPOTLIGHT: Thanks for valiant efforts to save husband via snowmobile

Mar. 132017

HARTFORD – On Jan. 4, my husband Jack suffered from congestive heart failure. There are no words that can describe how I felt when the EMTs and volunteer firefighters arrived at our home on Hodge Hill Drive. I would not have believed that so many wonderful men would come out to save my husband’s life.

A valiant attempt was made to plow two or three feet of snow from a hill so steep as to be un-plowable. How I jumped with joy when I saw two snowmobiles containing four men speeding their way to us.

No thank you is good enough, no words are good enough to say what I felt toward all those people who made such tremendous efforts to successfully save his life. Friends, family, neighbors, and stranger who have given so much of yourselves and continue to do so: May your God bless you all and keep you safe to continue your selfless deeds.

Thank you all,
Jack and Gloria Rains
