AUGUSTA — Three Waterville students, Hanna Bouchard and Inga and Karin Zimba, met with state Sen. Scott Cyrway, R-Kennebec, at the Maine State House during the Arts Education Advocacy Day in the Hall of Flags to advocate for art education for students.
The purpose of the event, organized by the Maine Alliance for Arts Education, was for art students from around the state to meet with their legislators to discuss the importance of the arts one-on-one. Karin is in sixth grade and Inga is in eighth at Waterville Junior High School. Hanna is a senior at Waterville High School.
