TURNER – Turner Publishing is giving away nine tickets to the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory tea for boys and girls and their adults to be held in five sessions over two days in April. All you need to do is let us at Turner Publishing know that you want to win these tickets by either emailing us at mainenews@turnerpublishing.net or leaving a comment on our Facebook page. You can even tweet to us; we are @TurnerPublishME.
Tickets will be given away by Turner Publishing in batches of four, three and two tickets so let us know how many tickets you need. Winners will be chosen randomly from among all those who have asked for the tickets.
The tea for boys and girls is a unique opportunity for children to not only see inside the historic Foss Mansion, but it is also a unique opportunity for the young attendees to experience entertainment specifically designed for their young minds and attention span in such a beautiful setting.
In addition to the entertainment, tea, juice and snacks will be served. A boutique will be open in one of the mansion’s rooms and items for sale will include clothing to fit 18-inch dolls and other non-gender-specific play items to go along with the Willy Wonka theme.
The Tea schedule is as follows: Sessions at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29; and sessions at noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 30.
If you want to purchase tickets, you can go to www.womansliteraryunion.org and soon there will be an order form (similar to the one with this article) on the site that allows for PayPal payments or use of a mail-in form. Tickets are $11 each; both adults and children need tickets to attend and children must be accompanied by an adult. If you have questions about the tea, call Kathy Lawrence at 207-795-6134 or email kmlawrence@aol.com. The Foss Mansion is at 19 Elm St. in Auburn.
