A dance-a-thon to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness that was canceled because of a snowstorm has been rescheduled for May 21, according to the Beacon House Battlers, the group sponsoring the event.
The dance-a-thon will be the day after the American Cancer Society’s Rumford Relay for life, which the group is also taking part in, the release said.
The event will also include a live auction, a pink bake sale table and pink flowers will be on sale. The event is open to dancers of all ages, and will take place from 1-4 p.m. The auction will be at 4.
There is a $5 charge to enter the dance hall for all who are not dancing. Dancers must have a minimum of $10 in sponsorships. Children taking part must have permission from a parent or guardian.
To donate either auction items, flowers, potting soil, or for more information, call the Beacon House between 10-4 daily at 369-0868. Call 357-4075 to register to dance and to get a sponsor sheet.
