Get it sold in our classified ads

TURNER — Turner Publishing, Inc. now offers classified ads to its readers as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. “In appreciation of our advertisers for believing in the reach their message gets in our directly mailed publications, some of who have maintained their marketing messages in our papers for years, we are looking for ways to bring more value to our papers, and thus to our advertisers,” said Denise Scammon, product development and production leader.

Setting up a classified ad is easily done by using the form found in our print publications or online. “The form is self-explanatory,” said Scammon, “but we are available to answer questions by phone or email. We can help you streamline a lengthy classified ad.”

All classified ads must be prepaid. Credit and debit cards are accepted, as are checks.

With 15 publications that reach more than 200,000 Maine mail boxes each month, Turner Publishing can boast a large audience for its print papers. Scammon said the company has added a daily digital online presence at www.turnerpublishing.net/news/. It has already surpassed, in less than a month, the number of users and pageviews generated on its older, well-established web site. Deadline charts and PDF versions of its printed publications are still found at www.turnerpublishing.net. “The new daily digital site provides readers with news from all over Maine 24/7,” said Scammon. “Be sure to bookmark or ‘favorite’ our news sites.”

The new Turner Publishing “Maine News” site is built with WordPress which enables many features to be used on the site which are important to readers such as all the news that makes its way into the printed papers as well as news that came in too late for the print version, but is timely for online publishing. “Our new Maine News site is great for staying informed about all the ‘good news’ taking place in Maine communities and it’s easy for our readers to share news and photos found on our site with their friends and family on social media sites,” said Scammon.

Turner Publishing shares its news feed on its Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages: www.Facebook.com/TurnerPublishingInc and www.Twitter.com/TurnerPublishME. “We also offer a free subscription of the daily news on our site via email. Our news site has a form that visitors simply need to enter their email address and click a button to start the subscription,” explained Scammon. Emails are sent once a day on days that news is published on the Maine News site.

The new Maine News site provides advertisers with digital advertising options. “The manner in which our digital news site has exploded in growth in less than a month as shown by site analytics gives us insight into the popularity of the Turner Publishing brand. Even though it’s early days for the new site, I believe that our daily digital news site will prove its worth to advertisers,” said Scammon.

“And, as always, at Turner Publishing our motto is that we publish the ‘good news.’ After 25 years in the publishing business, that motto continues,” said Scammon. If you want to share your good news, email your press releases and photos to articles@turnerpublishing.net. If you want to advertise or place a classified ad in our papers and/or online, call 207-225-2076 or email ads@turnerpublishing.net. “We look forward to hearing from you and providing a place for you to get all your good Maine news for at least the next 25 years.”
