Winter craft series offered at library

SKOWHEGAN — A series of free craft projects will be presented by the GFWC Skowhegan Woman’s Club from 10 a.m. to noon on the second and fourth Thursdays of January, February and March at the Skowhegan Free Public Library on Elm Street. Materials will be provided at no charge.

Preregistration for each class is suggested to ensure supply of adequate materials by calling the library at 474-9072. Following is the schedule of projects:

Jan. 12: Card embroidery
Jan. 26: Making vintage Valentine cards
Feb. 9: Jewelry basics
Feb. 23: Stained-glass sailboats
March 9: Water color basics
March 23: Crocheting basics

All projects are designed to be completed in one two-hour session and will be presented by club Craft Chairwoman Billie Sherman and her committee. For more information call Sherman at 474-5052.
