Waterville library to host artist reception, climate change talk Jan. 5

WATERVILLE — The exhibit “Earth: Love It or Lose It!” featuring sculpted acrylic paintings by J. A. Pollard and floral wood sculpture by Laurie Sproul will be featured in the Carnegie Gallery at the library from Dec. 7 to Feb. 28.

There will be a reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, where you can meet the artists and join a climate change conversation led by Peter Garrett. Events are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Snow date is Friday, Jan. 6.
