MEXICO — Rewind to December of 2013. Steve Casey, a veteran of industry and well-known and loved in the River Valley, and Rachel Henderson, nanny, cook and sawmill worker, both accepted positions at the Verizon Wireless Store on Main St. in Mexico.
Steve and Rachel were by no means strangers and they were about to embark on an incredible journey together, pledging to make the Mexico Wireless Zone a place where customers would receive friendly service from knowledgeable staff who will be there for them every step of the way!
Steve was a lifelong family friend of the Hendersons having worked with Rachel’s father, Wade, in the local paper mill for years. Rachel attended the private school founded by Steve and his wife. Rachel, now the Verizon Wireless Zone Store Manager, and Steve, Marketing Manager and trainer of new hires, have together built a loyal customer base by creating a welcoming atmosphere focusing on customers’ needs in what could otherwise be an overwhelming experience for buyers of smartphones and other electronic devices.
From trips to customers’ cars to hooking up Bluetooth to “How-to-run-your-new-smartphone” coaching, to making house calls, and even working on Christmas Day activating customers’ new phones, Rachel, Steve and the entire Mexico Verizon Wireless team consistently go above and beyond to calm customers, provide product support, and reduce the stress of learning to use their new devices.
“My family and I have been customers of the Verizon Wireless Store in Mexico for a few years now. Anytime we have questions or concerns, Rachel, Steve and the staff have always been more than willing to help in any way possible. They do a fantastic job at ensuring that their customers are well taken care of and satisfied,” said Jay Petrie, a loyal customer.
To date, the Verizon Wireless Zone in Mexico has added two more members to the team. Jonathan Ferreira came on board about a year ago and is very well-versed in all product lines. Jacob McInnis, a recent hire, is quickly finding his place.
