SKOWHEGAN — The second annual Festival of Light on Dec. 8, 9 and 10 at Centenary United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 113 Dr. Mann Road, celebrates the beauty and peace of the season through symbols of light. It is a free event meant to inspire, relax and bring joy. 
Last year’s lights included peace candles, the Eiffel Tower, a world globe and a lighted tree. The event features a large variety of manger scenes, angels and menorahs, all surrounded by soft light. There will be performances at 6 p.m. each night of the event.
On Dec. 8 the Community Chorus will lead a sing-a-long; on Dec. 9 the Community Band will play; and on Dec. 10 the Community Orchestra will entertain.
