Maine Remembered
Friday, September 18, 2026
The Fog of War still envelops 81,000 of our Brothers-and-Sisters-in-Arms as POWs/MIAs. The State of Maine at present ranks near the top of Veterans, per capita, serving in the Military with 95,000 Veterans living in the State of Maine as of June 3, 2026.
We must always remember those that have given the ultimate sacrifice in preserving freedom for all Americans. We must remember those who have not returned home and are still declared as Missing in Action.
The local Military Order will celebrate the National Day of Observance for POWs/MIAs on September 18, 2026, at the POW/MIA Memorial in Jay, Maine, with the ceremony starting at 06:00 PM rain or shine.
To give true homage to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, I need as the Master of Ceremonies for this year a little bit of help from a lot of people.
I request your assistance NOW as we now have an UP-TEMPO pulling at our service members. Let us remember
Keeping the public informed is the value of Freedom of Speech. As a National Ceremony for this year’s POW/MIA Recognition Day, I invite you to inform our public of this coming event.
