The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club will host the next Community Kettle at the Bridgton Community Center on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. As part of its ongoing support for the BCC, Rotarians—joined by family and friends—will shop, prepare, plate, serve, and clean up after the evening meal.
This month’s menu features Baked BBQ Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Veggie Macaroni Salad and an Ice Cream Dessert. The meal is Free, and Open to All. Donations support the work of the Bridgton Community Center.
The Club’s new President as of July 1, 2026, Rick Whelchel remarked, “This Kettle is prepared by our experienced Kitchen Crew, with plating, serving, and clean up supported by our families and friends. Food insecurity remains one of our top priorities. This is the fourth of six Kettles we’ll host in 2026 as part of strengthening the safety net for our neighbors. The meals provide a strong social aspect as well. Everyone has fun!”
The Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club programs focus on meeting community needs around education and literacy, veterans and those in recovery, food insecurity and much more. Rotarians and Friends of Rotary meet on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursdays of each month at 7:30 AM at the Bridgton Alliance Church Fellowship Hall, 368 Harrison Road (Route 117). Meetings are free and open to the public, with coffee served. For more information, visit LakeRegionRotary.com or the Club’s Facebook page. To request a Zoom link, email LakeRegionRotary@gmail.com
