Global Crime Network scams are one of the biggest threats facing regular people today. During this eye-opening event, West breaks down how older adults are targeted with shocking precision, and steps we can take to stay safe. Following her keynote address, join us for a panel discussion moderated by Maine Attorney General, Aaron Frey.

• Get ready to shred! AARP Maine is hosting two free shredding events in April in collaboration with local partners. We’ll be in Bath on Saturday, April 11th from 9-1PM and in Bangor on Friday, April 24th, also from 9-1PM. Rain or shine. Registration is appreciated and all details can be found here.
• Do you need a scam prevention speaker for your group? AARP has trained volunteers who deliver free presentations on topics such as cyber security, identity theft, Romance Scams, imposter scams and more. AARP provides free helpful scam awareness resources to all participants. Please click here to complete our online request form.
• New Elder Abuse Presentation Available: We are also working with the Maine Council for Elder Abuse Prevention (MCEAP) to raise awareness of the serious problem of elder abuse and the many valuable resources that are available in Maine to help those who are affected by it.
