Waterville Public Library to host ‘read with the dogs’ program

WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library, 73 Elm St., will hold a “Come Read with the Reader Dogs” program 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 26 and July 24, in the Colby Program Room. Therapy dogs from Kennebec Valley Love on a Leash will be there for read-aloud time.

This is a wonderful opportunity for kids who want to practice their reading skills and for families wanting a fun, calming, read-aloud program, the library program organizers said in a news release. Readers will spend 15 minutes with a dog who loves to listen. Participants may bring their favorite book or borrow from the library. Space is limited, so reservations are encouraged.
