Steeple removed from Vassalboro United Methodist Church
VASSALBORO -The steeple on the 36-year-old Vassalboro United Methodist Church was removed by Burke Roofing of West Gardiner on Thursday. Leaks caused water damage and rot in several areas of the roof decking, and the steeple deteriorated and was leaking in several places. The steeple was saved and will be added to the church memorial garden later. More photos and videos of its removal can be seen on the Vassalboro United Methodist Church Facebook page.
