NORWAY – The latest schedule for free in-person and virtual classes and activities at the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has been announced.
Programs are open to anyone impacted by cancer, including patients, survivors and caregivers. Those attending in-person programs are asked to wear a mask.
Weekly public drop in is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, at the center, 59 Winter St., with appointments available on other days.
Weekly online classes require pre-registration. They include “Mind full of Good” meditation, 9-9:30 a.m. Monday and “A Mindful Hour” – mindful-based stress reduction, 9-10 a.m. Thursday.
Weekly in-person classes (masks required) include:
Chair Yoga in Bridgton, 10-11 a.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Friday, Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St. Bridgton, taught by Susan Kane, for all skill levels, no registration required.
Strength & Balance for Cancer Wellness, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Rush Fitness, 141 Western Ave. South Paris, a full-body workout class led by Lori Britting, tailored to the comfort level and ability of each individual to maintain mobility and strength. Registration required.
Craft & Chat, 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the center. All supplies are provided, masks are required. No pre-registration is required.
Chair Yoga, 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the center. Registration required.
The Women’s Support Group and Coffee Hour is 10:30 a.m. to noon the third Wednesday of the month at the center. No registration needed. For information, call Barb Perry at 207-890-0205.
