Winslow Cub Scouts visit fire station

WINSLOW – Cub Scout Pack 445 got the opportunity to explore the Winslow Fire Station and learn about firefighters from Lt. Adam Burgess and firefighter Shawn Stetson.
The Cubs are working on their Council of Fire unit, and learning about their community and the important roles in it.
They learned many interesting facts about firefighters, from what their day is like to the things they do to help the community, such as Fire Safety Week at local schools.
One of the things the Cubs were surprised to learn is that firefighters are constantly training. They also thanked the fire department for its service.
Cub Scouts attending were Freddie Pullen, Jack Teague, Jonah Burke, Peter Small and Ryder Johnston. Family members who also took part were Lorelei Pullen, Hannah Small and Aubrey Small.
