Skowhegan mail carriers will collected Santa letters at Skow-Whoville Parade Dec. 2

SKOWHEGAN — The Skowhegan Post Office will sponsor a float in this year’s Skow-Whoville Holiday Parade on Friday, Dec. 2, and all kids are encouraged to bring their letters for Santa with them to the parade.
Mail carriers will collect the letters along the parade route directly from the children. Organizers urge kids and parents not to run toward the float, for everyone’s safety.
Once the letters are collected, the postal workers will make a special delivery run to the North Pole to get them to Santa.
The parade is at 7 p.m. downtown, and kicks off the two-day Skow-Whoville holiday event.
