RUMFORD – The River Valley Rotary Club is taking applications through Oct. 31 for its annual free winterization project.
The project helps homeowners in Dixfield, Mexico, Peru and Rumford who are 60 or older and disabled to winterize their homes.
This year, the project is slated for some time in early November, depending upon the number of applicants.
Volunteers caulk around doors and windows, put plastic on windows, install door sweeps and weather stripping and put plastic around some foundations, depending on need.
