SKOWHEGAN – The Skowhegan Free Public Library is hosting two events in October.
The annual tag sale is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Bloomfield Academy Building, 33 Main St.
Vintage bookcases, antique chairs, and miscellaneous items will be sold.
All proceeds benefit the non-profit organization. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 9. For more information, call 207-474-6632.
A Community Scan Day will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Skowhegan Free Public Library, 9 Elm St.
Bring up to three historic photographs or paper documents, no larger than 12-by-17 inches, to digitize at no charge. Anything scanned will be emailed to participants after the event. With participants’ permission, scanned items will be uploaded to the Maine Memory Network, an online database that helps preserve local history.
