RUFMROD – Hope Association will once again hold Oktoberfest, after a two-year layoff.
Oktoberfest will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 85 Lincoln Ave.
Oktoberfest is a fundraiser that helps individuals who attend Hope Association pay for activities in the community that Mainecare does not cover, including joining local clubs, eating out in the area, concerts, races, bowling, swimming and more activities they may not otherwise get to enjoy.
The event also allows the Rotary Club to promote literacy in the community by providing a kid’s room with free books and sell hard and soft cover books for very little. The money raised supports the scholarship fund.
Volunteers are needed to help for two and a half or three hours at Oktoberfest. Volunteerscan help with kids’ games, serving pancake breakfast, selling 50/50 tickets, face painting, selling pizza for lunch and more.
