Somerset Memorial Day include Starks, Anson, Madison ceremonies and Skowhegan parade

MADISON — Tardiff-Belanger American Legion Post 39 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 39 will host Memorial Day ceremonies at several areas in Somerset County beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, May 30.
Guest speaker will be Sen. Brad Farrin, R-Somerset.
The ceremony includes a 9 a.m. ceremony at Starks Town Office; 9:30 a.m. at the veterans monument at the Anson Town Office, followed by scattering of flowers off the bridge; 10 a.m. at the veterans monument at Madison Library; 10:30 a.m. at the U.S./Canadian Monument at Forest Hills Cemetery, Park Street and 11 a.m. at the Joseph Quirion Veteran Monument in the center of East Madison.
A Memorial Day parade will also be held in Skowhegan at 10 a.m., starting at the corner of Dyer Street and Madison Avenue, proceeding onto Water Street and ending with a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park. To participate, contact Skowhegan Federated Church at 207-474-2776.
