MONMOUTH — The 36th annual May Faire, a community event sponsored by Friends of Cumston Public Library, will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Cumston Hall, 796 Main St.
Features are a plant sale with homegrown perennials from local gardens and annuals from area greenhouses; food, including lobster rolls, hamburgers and hot dogs; book sale; children’s activities; offerings from community groups and local artisans; bake sale hosted by United Church and more.
The event will be held rain or shine, and all activities except the book sale will be outdoors. All proceeds support programs of Cumston Public Library.
Friends of Cumston Library are seeking donations of perennials for the fair. Community gardeners love purchasing a wide range of perennials donated from local gardens. Donations for the plant sale can be dropped off on May 18, 19, 20 or the morning of the sale, May 21, at the Cumston Hall parking lot next to the theater ticket booths.
For more information or to arrange earlier drop-ffs, call LaVerne Winn at 207-933-4760 or email friendsofcumstonlibraryfocl@gmail.com.
