AUBURN — Director Brandon Chaloux has announced the production crew for the upcoming Community Little Theatre production of the musical comedy “Disaster!”, the second show of CLT’s 82nd season.
The show opens at Great Fall Performing Arts Center on Thursday, April 7, and runs through Sunday, April 17.
“Disaster!” is a comedic tribute to the unforgettable disaster movies of the 1970s, and features hit songs from the era including “Knock on Wood,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” “Sky High,” “I Am Woman” and “Hot Stuff.” The setting is the grand opening of a floating New York City casino and discotheque. The guest list includes some of New York’s top A-listers along with a faded disco star, a sexy nightclub singer, a disaster expert, a feminist reporter, an older couple with a secret, a couple young guys looking for ladies, and a nun with a gambling addiction. The festive evening quickly turns terrifying as the partygoers face multiple disasters including earthquakes, tidal waves, and infernos.
The production team includes Chaloux, director, set design, and construction lead; Paul Caron, music director; Aaron Louque, stage manager/light board operator; Sarah Chaloux, producer, set construction and decor; Celeste Philippon, mentor; Renee Davis, backup mentor; Debby Mansur, costume design; Maria Groover, rehearsal and production assistant; Danny Gay, lighting design; Noah Keneborus, sound design; Alex Miles, sound assistant; Britny Anderson and Melissa St. Pierre, set décor; Colleen Keith, props; Brock Rancourt, Jerome Gray, Maddie Dubois, Jacob Morin and Zachary Morin, stage crew; Dawn Rancourt, spot operator; John Nutting, Nancy Kenneally, Roger Philippon, and Danielle Eaton, publicity; Penny Drumm, program/poster.
