WATERVILLE – Flowers, Flowers Everywhere, a community beautification program sponsored by the Central Maine Garden Club, is awarding financial grants to volunteers who develop and maintain gardens in their community.
The program is for Waterville, Winslow, and surrounding communities, stretching from Rome to Windsor. The land used must be public property, with permission to beautify granted by the municipality.
Funding will be through donations, with no municipal funds used. The municipality may be involved with some of the “heavy work” of digging, planting and watering. Awards are annual and gardeners may reapply each year.
There is no set number of grants to be awarded.
The Central Maine Garden Club is committed to the protection and conservation of natural resources while we add color and beauty to the landscape with flowers.
