ANSON – The historic Bailey Farm Windmill on State Route 16 in Anson, has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places in Maine. Stan and Mitchell Quint installed the plaque n 50-degree weather May 12. The black granite plaque with a photo of the windmill and the written designation marking it as an historic site was made and donated by The Quint Company, owned by Stan Quint of Texas. Mitchell Quint, president of Anson Historical Society, and others have been working each construction season since 2009 to restore the windmill. (Submitted photo)
