KVCAP honors its Somerset County preschool teachers

SKOWHEGAN — Members of Kennebec Valley Community Action’s Somerset County preschool program were honored during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3 to 7.
Members of KVCAP’s leadership team showed their appreciation for the Somerset preschool teachers with goody bags that included coffee mugs filled with treats, nacho chips with the message “Nacho Average Staff. Thank you for all you do!”; emergency treat packs with items such as Tootsie Rolls to help them roll with the punches and Starburst for a burst of energy; cookies with the message “No matter how the cookie crumbles, you are the best staff around!”; and bags of popcorn and gift certificates.
Tracye Fortin, KVCAP Child & Family Services chief operating officer, said, “We are incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing cadre of teachers across all of our programs. From our preschool partnerships, to our child care centers, to our Home Visitors and family child care partners, our staff goes above and beyond to ensure children are ready for kindergarten.”
