PORTLAND — LearningWorks is hosting the second event in its virtual series, “Could You Repeat That Please?: Learning English in the Time of COVID.”
The forum, which is free of charge, is at noon on Thursday, Oct. 15, and features Shima Kabarigi and Damas Rugaba of The Immigrant Welcome Center; LearningWorks English Language + Literacy program director Rachel Evenson; and Learning Works volunteer tutor Lauren Jordy.
Speakers will discuss the impact of the COVID pandemic on New Mainers and will explore the ways in which technology is being leveraged to help adult English language learners to stay on track with their goals. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the speakers.
