The 22nd annual Take Your Dog To Work Day will take place Friday, June 26, and the entire week of June 22 to 26 is Take Your Pet To Work Week, with a feline focus on Monday, which is celebrated as Take Your Cat To Work Day.
Because of COVID-19, an increase in remote workers and social-distancing policies — celebrations will look different than previous years. Event creator Pet Sitters International is encouraging pet lovers and businesses alike to host virtual celebrations this year, in light of COVID-19 restrictions.
Take Your Dog To Work Day was created by Pet Sitters International in 1999 to celebrate the great companions dogs make and promote pet adoptions — and PSI says that goal can still be achieved this year with creative celebration ideas.
PSI is also hosting a pet photo contest June 22 to 26 on Facebook and Instagram, with a winning photo selected each day and a donation made to the animal shelter or pet-rescue organization of the winner’s choice.
