RUMFORD — The River Valley Rotary Club of Greater Rumford’s recent Lobster Fundraising Project turned out to be a great success, thanks to the dedication of its membership.
“We put together more than 350 lunches and managed to deliver them on time,” said Greg Trundy, project chairman. “It’s quite a challenge when large order are requested early in the day, but it wasn’t too much for this crew.”
Rotarians also stepped up to provide the tasty desserts rounding out the meal.
“Getting this many lunches out with just a few Rotarians means multiple people made multiple batches, and for this I thank them,” Trudy said, adding, “If we had to buy desserts, it would take a big chunk out of our profits.”
The money raised will go toward supporting the organizations many charitable activities.
