WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library is offering a variety of special programs for school vacation week, April 18 through April 21.
From 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, there will be a special craft session, Decorate a Flowerpot, in the children’s department. This is for children age 5 and up, and they can drop in any time between 2 and 4 to take part. Those younger than 7 should bring a grownup helper.
From 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, Hands-On Science! Build Your Own Solar System, in the children’s department. children can learn about our planetary neighbors and build their own solar system model. Designed for kids 7 and up; younger kids should bring a grownup helper.
From 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, April 20, a special Create a Button session, in the children’s department. Drop by to create a personally designed button to wear. For kids age 7 and up; younger kids are welcome but should bring a grownup helper.
From 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 21, Jumping Origami. Drop by to explore art, engineering and culture with origami. Learn to flod projects that move, hop, turn and snap, and looking into the history of Origami in Japan.
