Dialogue writing workshop slated for Waterville Public Library March 16

WATERVILLE — A workshop on “Speaking and Listening: The Art of Writing Dialogue,” will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday March 16, at Waterville Public Library, 73 Elm St.
The workshop will be facilitated by Sarah Braunstein, a writer, Portland-based teacher and professor at Colby College. She will explore what makes good dialogue and how it benefits all elements of writing, including plot. Those participating will look at some examples and experiment with techniques.
The workshop is appropriate for all interested in creative writing — those writing memoir, personal essay, fiction, plays — or anyone who wants to think more about this element of literary craft. Participants should bring something to write on and with whether it be a laptop, iPad or pencil and paper.
