Post offices across the state of Maine will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, to honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
Street delivery on Monday will be limited to guaranteed overnight parcels, and there will be no mail collection.
Full retail and delivery operations will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
