Pancakes and Poetry at the Parish begins Jan. 26 in Turner

TURNER — The historic First Universalist Church of Turner Center, 450 Turner Center Road, will hold its first winter poetry series called Pancakes and Poetry at the Parish Sunday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. The air is certain to be filled with the warm smell of fresh pancakes and invitations to share your favorite winter poem. Pancakes will be flipped by the Rev. Al Boyce and parishioner Jim Talbot.
The public is invited to meet in the parish hall. Bring your favorite winter poem or just come for the hot pancakes and listen to others as they share spirituality through poetry. The event is free. Future Sunday events include “Soup, Salad and Song” Feb. 9 and March 10, and Poetry and Pancakes Feb. 23 and March 22.
