LIVERMORE FALLS — The summer reading program iat Treat Memorial Library is drawing to a close.
The Universe of Stories finale will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug, 8. Summer readers should keep reporting their books and earning stars until then. Readers’ accomplishments will be celebrated at the finale.
The Knit/Crochet group meets at 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday.
The group will be exploring other kinds of crafting as well, so anyone who has a craft they’d like to try should join up and let the group know. Preschool Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday, year-round. Storytime features stories, songs, activities, and a craft to take home every week. The library book group continues its series on Banned Books in August, with “Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood,” a graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi.
The discussion will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8. Those who would like to borrow a copy of the book should let the library know.
LEGO Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 August’s challenge will be to build a mini mini-golf hole out of Legos. Lego creations will be displayed in the library until the September meeting.
The library is also asking patrons to take a survey about library hours, which will help the library serve the community better. Surveys are available at the library or on on the library’s Facebook page.
