WATERVILLE — The Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area annual Lights for Life service will be held Thursday, Dec. 13.
The service includes a tree lighting, and will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church and Hospice Community Center, 304 Main St.

The event starts at 5 p.m., with a memorial service at the First Congregational Church, which is across the street from the Hospice Community Center. The Rev. Mark Wilson will offer a non-denominational service.
The hospice staff, volunteers and members of the community participate in the Lights for Life service to celebrate the memory of their loved ones who have died. Before the garden lighting at 6:15 p.m., light snacks and beverages will be served at the HVWA Community Center.
The hospice is also selling its 2018 Snowflake Remembrance Ornament, available to those who would like to remember a loved one. Proceeds support hospice volunteer and bereavement programs.
