WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library has scheduled a slate of activities for kids and teens in December.
The library’s Homeschool Hub is Thursdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Homeschoolers can meet for games, crafts, speakers, and more. There will be an activity in the children’s department for attendees in first through sixth grades, and an activity in the Bartlett Room for Teens for those in sixth through 12th grade. The activities change every week.
On Dec. 6, there will be a snowflake craft.
Dec. 13, a winter movie will be shown for all ages, and those attending should wear their PJs — this session will run until 3:15 p.m. The movie is rated G. Contact the library for the title.
On Dec. 20, the younger group will make bird feeders, while the older ones will make treasure boxes.
Dec. 27 will feature not boring board games for the younger group and Settlers of Catan for the older children.
Satur-Play! At the library is from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturdays in the children’s and will feature snowflake craft on Dec. 1, Jackie Frost Storytime Dec. 8, Word Games Dec. 15, Legos Dec. 22 and Love on a Leash Dec. 29.
Crafternoons are from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, and in December feature Egg Carton Penguins on Dec. 4, Handrprint Polar Bears, Wreaths and Trees Dec. 11, Paper Plate Snow Globes Dec. 18. Children under 7 must be accompanied by a grown-up helper.
