SKOWHEGAN — Candidates for Congress, county offices, three state Senate districts and seven state House districts have been invited to a candidates forum hosted by the Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce.
The forum will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at T&B’s Celebration Center, 414 Madison Ave.
The forum will provide an opportunity for candidates to express their views so voters can become informed about their positions before the Tuesday, Nov. 6 election. It will be an open discussion for the first half and then a question and answer format, and the public may submit questions in advance to the chamber.
Questions must be emailed to admin@skowheganareachamber.com by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10. Registration for the forum is not required.
Invited to the forum are those running for state office for the Tuesday, Nov. 6 election, including:
U.S. Senate: Sen. Angus King, I-Maine; Zak Ringelstein (D), Eric Brakey (R).
U.S. House of Representatives: Rep. Poliquin, R-2nd District; Jared Golden, Tiffany Bond, Will Hoar.
Governor: Janet Mills, Shawn Moody, Alan Caron, and Terry Hayes.
