Waterville Public Library has September programs for kids, teens

Sep. 62018

WATERVILLE — The focus at Waterville Public Library is on children and teens as summer ends and school begins.

Crafternoons for children will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday at the library, in the Children’s Room, on the lower level. There is a different craft every week. Children under 7 must be accompanied by a grown-up helper.
For Teens, Teen Movie Night will be held at 4 p.m. every Thursday in the Bartlett Room. There is a new movie every week, and those who want to attend should check the library’s website to see what’s playing. The movies are for those ages 11 to 18. Light refreshments will be provided.
Tips for teens will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. on Mondays through Oct. 1, and are a series of four interactive classes for those ages 13 to 17, designed to teach about healthy eating in a fun way through hands-on nutrition activities. The program is cosponsored by the library, Healthy Northern Kennebec, Maine Snap-Ed and ChooseMyPlate.gov.
All the programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call 207-872-5433 or email staylor@watervillelibrary.org or librarian@watervillelibrary.org.
