Skowhegan’s LaCroix wins Madison Idol competition

MADISON — Evelyn LaCroix, 10, of Skowhegan, won the seventh annual Madison Idol competition on March 24.
It was not the first time Evelyn performed on stage. She was recently in the production of “Annie” at the Waterville Opera House, playing the title role.

She is in the fifth grade and is home-schooled.
Madison Idol is a yearly competition that is held at Madison Jr. High school. It is put on by the Madison Business Alliance and is sponsored by many local businesses.
The second-place winner was Scooter Berry and third place was Emily French.
