Topsham library Joy of Art winners talk is Feb. 24

TOPSHAM — Topsham Public Library will celebrate the winners of this year’s Joy of Art competition by hosting an artists’ talk featuring the winners.
The talk, which will also include presentation of the People’s Choice Award and the Library Lover’s Lottery, will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.
Winners of the competition were:

Oil/Acrylic winner Ann Slocum, for “Untitled #2”; Oil/Acrylic honorable mention Kevin Mizner, for “Joan”; Pastel winner Amy Puleo, for “Boothbay Trail.”
Also, Watercolor winner Robert Kahler, for “Moonlight, Ice Out, Androscoggin”; Mixed/Other Media winner Natasha Kempers-Cullen for “Red Doors”; Mixed/Other Media honorable mention Barbara Snapp for “Market Street, Kinsdale.”
Howard Solomon was the 3-Dimensional winner and honorable mention for his works, “Sweetie” and “Studley.”
The library will also present the People’s Choice Award at the event, and the Friends of the Topsham Public Library will award the Library Lovers’ Lottery prize, “Black-capped Chickadee,” a scratchboard and acrylic piece by Consuelo G. Bailey.
The program is free and open to the public.
