Jan. 192017

WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library will be closed Jan. 25 to 31 for reconstruction work necessary following unexpected water damage from a burst frozen pipe on Dec. 17. Flooring and woodwork in the library’s entryway and lobby, ruined by several inches of standing water, will be replaced.

Checked-out materials due between between Jan. 25 and 31 will be extended to Wednesday, Feb. 1.

The library will have a book return and pick-up station in Waterville City Hall, 1 Common Street. This station will be staffed and open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, Jan. 25 to 27, and Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 30 and 31. Patrons will be able to return items and get items ready for pickup at the City Hall location.

Patrons may place holds by stopping by the station during open hours, calling 207-872-5433 or making requests online through the library catalog at minerva.maine.edu/search~S41/.

For assistance, please call 207-872-5433 or email librarian@watervillelibrary.org. Library staff plan to reopen the library on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Thank you to every member of the community for their support, patience and understanding during this transformative time for the library.
