MADISON — A variety of holiday-themed events are slated for the Tardiff-Belanger American Legion Post 39 in the coming weeks, including a Halloween dance, the annual turkery supper and raffle, and the annual craft fair. All of the events benefit local causes.
The Halloween Dance, sponsored by Somerset County United Bikers of Maine will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, featuring music by Dirty McGurdy.
There will be a costume contest and 50/50 raffle. All proceeds benefit Thanksgiving food baskets. Admission is $10 per person or $15 per couple. For more information, call Sue at 207-431-4883.
American Legion and Auxiliary 38th annual Turkey Supper and Basket Raffle will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17. The event features an all-you-can-eat turkey supper with all the fixings. There will also be a free drawing for a turkey, eight turkey and eight ham baskets with all the fixings raffled off during the supper. All proceeds benefit area food cupboards.
Admission is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children between 5 and 12, and children under 5 eat for free.

The auxiliary’s annual craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, and will feature homemade crafts, jewelry, wood products, baked goods and more. Lunch will be available. Proceeds will benefit local high school scholarships.
