Mahoosuc Land Trust annual meeting is Oct. 15

BETHEL – The Mahoosuc Land Trust annual meeting is 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, in Ordway Hall at Gould Academy.
The evening will begin at 5:45 with appetizers and a silent auction to benefit the land trust’s work. the event is open to theh public.
The auction will feature hand-crafted gifts. During the business meeting, which will start at 7 p.m., members will vote on revised by-laws.

A preview of the auction can be seen on the Land Trust’s website, www.mahoosuc.org, where members can also view the proposed by-Law revision.
Following the business meeting, the evening’s speaker will be Cameron Wake, a research professor of climatology and glaciology at the University of New Hampshire, will speak on “Climate Change: Past, Present and Future.” Wake conducts research on regional climate, using ice cores and instrumental data. He also leads a collaborative effort to secure healthy, prosperous and sustainable communities through energy self-reliance and weather resilience.
The Mahoosuc Land Trust has as its mission the support of sustainable and traditional land uses in central Oxford and eastern Coos county in New Hampshire. It invites anyone in the area to attend the annual meeting and become a member.
