MADISON — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 39 will hold a “Quarter Auction” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the American Legion hall, 20 South Maple St.
This type of fundraiser has never been done in this area before, according to the organizers, describing it as “a combination of an auction, vendor fair and ‘Luck of the Draw’ all rolled into one fun time.”
The doors will open at 9 a.m., followed by the auction at 10 a.m. Admission is $2 per auction paddle. During this time, the kitchen will be open for business. Other activities include several different raffles, as well as 50/50 tickets.
Bidders are encouraged to “bring your quarters,” which will be available to purchase as well. All proceeds will benefit veterans programs and local community charities.
